| Description | The chapter describes the situation in the early intervention in children with Down syndrome and their families including the Czech legislation. Down syndrome, prenatal diagnostics and early intervention providers for this target group ares introduced in the chapter. Respondents in a research study - a pilot study - were 10 parents of children with Down syndrome. They reported both positive and negative views on the current situation in the early intervention provision for children with Down syndrome. In conclusion, parents give suggestions for improvement in this area. |
