| Description | This contribution is focused on research on musical preferences and their impact on shaping the personality of individuals, especially college students. It summarizes the most important findings and the results of several studies that have been carried out in the Czech Republic but also abroad in recent years. These findings reflects the results of original research. Most researchers divided the musical genres into several groups, to which they assigned the characteristics of their listeners. Previously, the issue of musical preferences was easier, today it is greatly influenced by the social context, fashion and media. |
