Description The chapter discusses the importance of early relationships between the child and his or her parents. Important aspect is the influence of attachment in the future relationships in the social environment of the child. We describe the potential risks and consequences of disruption of attachment. The article discusses possible connections between disruption of attachment and the development of behaviour disorders.
