Description | The beginning teacher is a graduate from high school with educational qualifications in three years' experience. Beginning of the school year is a specific teaching stress when the teacher gets into situations with which it has so far little personal experience. We carried out research in 126 primary schools for beginning teachers (98 women and 28 men). Teachers generally considered the beginning of the school year for stress situation which are not usually trained and use mainly individual advice of experienced colleagues. Questionnaires shows some beginning teachers with increased neuroticism (N5) and unfavorable coping strategies (SVF 78). Young teachers manage this stress mainly board colleagues and superiors, which are based on individual experience and traditions of the school, at least they can in this direction based on the knowledge gained in college. Differences between men and women are not significant. A certain group of teachers, which emphasizes the importance of theory in teacher training, assesses the emergence and resolution of this stress very critically. |
