Description Development of economy during the last years, especially since 2008, in the time of persistent economic crises can be assessed as unfavorable, both at the impact on economy as a whole and particularly in assessing the impact on construction industry. The article, as a partial output from the implemented project "Development of small and medium enterprises in the border areas (M00200)", presents the views on the situation in the construction sector from the interior point of view and through the analyses of the secondary data and also by its own empirical survey compares expectations of construction sector development as a whole and the situation of each construction enterprise both in general terms and in breakdown by achieved turnover and by the type of main contractor.
