Description This contribution outlines the problems in terms of development of the food industry and later the entire agro-industrial complex occupied a key position in Moravia end Silesia sugar, which happened in the second half of the 19th century, along with textile and glass industry the most important export sector. At the same time constitute the economic base for the emerging small Czech industrial and agricultural business layer.
