| Description | The Symposium through short presentations and moderated discussions seek common ground on issues that are related to the education. The main target group are students of the Faculty of Education. The main theme of the symposium is the interconnection of different worlds, searching subjective borders, barriers and crossings. The Symposium tries to engage in dialogue and seek enrichment of it. We chose three key topics which we expressed through metaphors in three program sections: 1) CULTURAL MEGAPHONE is a block of short talks focused on the power of the media and their influence in shaping attitudes, values and perceptions and cultural patterns with regard to current events (migration, the political scene, etc.). 2) THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG section focuses on the theory and practice and linking research activities and theoretical concepts with reality and practice of social education. 3) SCHOOL AS AN AQUARIUM opens discussion on subjects (a student, a teacher, a parent) and the school ecosystem (climate) and their interactions. How much the school is closed in its own world and how much is the "glass" of the schools permeable to what is happening around? |
