| Description | This chapter is a study of Czech diminutives of proverbs, numerals and interjections. It describes the Czech morphological system of such diminutives and lists the most frequent diminutive lexemes of each of these parts of speech in the parallel corpus InterCorp. Further the counterparts of these diminutives in German, English and Slovak are examined and lead to proposals how to translate this phenomenon from Czech into the mentioned languages. |
