Description | Presentation of original research. Abstract: When Einstein came up with special relativity theory, Václav Hlavatý was only 11 years old. He was immediately interested, but probably not enough to study physics. After he became differential geometer in the 1920s, he was bound to notice the research that was conducted in search of the unified field theory. While he did not contribute much to the unified field theories of the 1920s and 1930s, he became one of the few experts on its geometry in the post-WWII years. In my talk, I will present some snapshots of Hlavatý’s lifethat are connected with relativity theory. |
