Description | Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease. The affected tissue is unable to cope with causative nox for a long time and loses its function. The so-called granulation tissue (GT) is formed, which is the result of persistence of noxa and insufficient "resolution" - resolution of inflammation. By default, the GT is removed during surgery. It is full of fibroblasts, newly formed vessels and mesenchymal stem cells. Can GT be used in surgical fields or is it completely undesirable? On a model of periodontal lobe operations, we verified the modification of GT and its use to improve the results of surgery. |
