Description The study presents partial results of the Towards Gender-Sensitive Education project, which used qualitative content analysis to examine the conceptualization of gender and gender equality in official documents of educational policies in the Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary. The results draw on an analysis of 14 legislative documents (4 Czech, 4 Hungarian, 6 Austrian), 10 strategic documents (2 European, 4 Czech, 1 Hungarian, 3 Austrian), 7 curricular documents (1 Czech, 2 Hungarian, 4 Austrian), and 11 handbooks and guidelines (7 Austrian and 4 Czech). The analysis showed three different approaches to gender equality in education - open support in Austria, an open resistance in Hungary and an indecisive attitude on the side of the Czech Republic.
