Description | Significant anniversaries and memorable days have always been a priority for postage stamp creators. This mass media product reflecting historical events finds echo not only in the extracurricular environment, but also in the educational process. Specific analysis of the frequency of motives of the first year of the World War II and the motives themselves in this text contribute to naming: historical priorities, changes in collective memory and their educational potential. The educational process is aimed at recognizing that this visual medium is not only a reflection but above all an interpretation of historical reality. Postage stamps, equipped with a didactic apparatus, can then serve not only to develop the pupil's media literacy, but also to provide a deeper understanding of a particular historical topic. In particular, understanding the reasons why and how a historical event is commemorated today. |
