Description | In primary schools geography is the subject in which cartographic aids are most often used. However, they also have an irreplaceable role in various forms of outdoor education (fi eld trips, outdoor exercises, school trips, open-air schools, etc.). This paper presents results obtained from interviews with teachers concerning the use of cartographic products. The survey was carried out in Brno and the sample consisted of 30 teachers, either from primary schools or from the lower levels of eight-year grammar schools (years 1–4). The fi rst part of the interviews concerned the printed cartographic products (atlases, wall maps, basemaps, etc.) used in their particular school. The second part dealt with the use of internet maps in the school environment. The fi nal part concerned the particular forms of learning during which cartographic aids are used. |
