| Description | The article examines the issues of historical lexicography and defines the prospects for its further development in modern bohemian and Russian studies. A chronological overview of the most important dictionaries of the Czech and Russian languages is presented, the methodology of their compilation is analyzed, the main approaches to the study of lexical units are described. As a result of the comparative analysis, the main differences between Czech and Russian historical lexicography, due to political-geographical and historical-cultural factors, were revealed. |
