Description | The paper is a compilation of research surveys of selected students of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno focused on stimulating a set of cognitive perceptual functions (so-called partial functions) conditioning school maturity in preschool age. Selected works are analyzed in the context of the characteristics of the research sample (i.e. children of different ages), the methodology used, the nature of the author's materials that were used for stimulation, and the results achieved by the children in the area of perceptual and cognitive functions after the stimulation. The aim of the paper is to point out not only the diversity of materials created, but also the necessity of systematic stimulation of perceptually cognitive functions in preschool age (especially in its final year). Stimulation of these functions is necessary not only in the context of school maturity, but especially in the period of acquisition of trivia as a prevention of the development of specific learning disabilities. |
