Description The paper focuses on the issue of coping with visual problems of children and pupils in preschool and school environment. We will focus on visual difficulties, which do not fall into the category of visual impairment, but cause problems for children and pupils and reduce their school performance. We consider the threat to students' school success and the burden that arises from the given difficulties to be essential. The paper presents the findings of pilot surveys in the environment of preschool and primary education, the experience of teachers and specific proposals and recommendations for practice. The aim is to draw attention to the issue of visual difficulties from the point of view of the pupil's needs and also from the point of view of the competencies of pedagogical staff, how to proceed in given situations.
