| Description | The creator of a conceptual work of art expects an active recipient. The artist can influence his imagination and his aesthetic interaction with the work through the title of the work, intertextual signs, with the way how the artefact is installed in the exhibition or with his own interpretive commentary. The author of the paper will look at the viewer's and critic's reception of conceptual art through cognitive literary science and aesthetics. Based on the examples of contemporary Czech artists, they will present performative, narrative and interpretive scenarios applied during the reception of a conceptual work exhibited in the gallery. |
