| Description | The topic of the paper is the acquisition of the Czech phonetic plan by non-native speakers with first language Vietnamese, based on extensive empirical research. The aim paper is to show what the relationship is between the feeling of understanding and actual understanding, and whether possible misunderstandings can be located in a sequence of segments. The research presented in this paper also asks whether this possible misunderstanding can be illuminated by looking at the first language of the speakers. |
