Description In order to develop self-regulation, learning must take place in an environment with ample opportunities to develop the skills needed to manage one’s own learning. In this research, we test whether a personal learning environment (PLE) can be considered such an environment. An experimental group of students (n = 30) completed a one-semester course. Their self-regulation skills were measured by pre- and posttest. The results were compared with those of the control group of students.
