Description "Porcupine travels in search of German literature" is an interactive educational resource whose main aim is to offer working material not only for teaching German language, but also to support the development of digital competence and thinking skills of pupils. The starting point is an interactive map of the Czech Republic referring to 20 German-speaking personalities associated with the historical territory of the Czech Republic. Pupils can get acquainted with these personalities; for each author, information about his/her personality, his/her authorial text, supplemented by a sound recording and a translation into Czech is provided. The materials are not aimed at purely language teaching for beginners, but are intended to serve as supplementary materials and inspiration in the teaching of German and other subjects. The texts by the individual authors touch on a range of current and historical social topics. Similarly, the life stories of the authors can be an interesting inspiration for discussion with pupils or other educational activities. These educational resources are supplemented by interactive responsive tasks (targeting the ability to trace, sort and evaluate information) and an section of activities, which are often designed as discussion problems (Filip, von Ebner-Eschenbach), as inspiration for a project assignment (Stifter) or involve creative teamwork (von Saar, Scholtis).
