Description This thesis focuses on the author's experience as an independent gallery educator and their efforts to create a new educational format for learning in the gallery space. The author has implemented experiential learning activities for schools and hands-on learning activities for the public, testing these formats in the Moravian Gallery in Brno. They have also organized leisure art and experimental workshops called ARTS'UP_ ART ON EX, which are open to the public and labeled as "edutainment". The results of these activities have been documented and curated in a permanent exhibition called Art is Here - "New Art". The research explores gallery-based educational activities and aims to develop a programme of activities for children and the general public, with the goal of bringing together educational and cultural institutions and expanding the model of education. The practical outcome of the research is a gallery project created for the permanent exhibition of modern art at the Moravian Gallery.
