Description The article discusses the current state of social pedagogy and the potential application of social pedagogues in the Czech educational system. The study identifies intense needs in various areas of school life that cannot be fully covered by teachers alone. Approximately 63.8% of elementary schools could potentially benefit from employing social pedagogues on either a full-time or part-time basis. However, obstacles prevent the full utilization of this position. The legislative establishment of the social pedagogue role is recommended to overcome these barriers and allow schools to use the position effectively and continuously.
