Description | A LOOK AT THE CZECH AND SLOVAK ART SCENE. Installations, material, multimedia and participatory projects. This invited lecture at Akademia Sztuki Pieknych in Lodz, Poland, presents contemporary Czech and Slovak art and its innovative formats with regard to materials, interdisciplinary and multimedia overlaps, and participatory projects that bring new themes and issues to contemporary art discourse. These include material and spatial installations of an ephemeral nature that disrupt established notions of the sculpture or spatial work, as well as participatory projects that bring new ways of working with audiences and create new requirements for education and mediation of art. |
