Description Patient engagement is a key aspect of health care with profound implications for successful patient treatment, satisfaction, and the overall quality of health care. Patient engagement involves the active involvement of patients in their healthcare journey, including decision-making, treatment adherence and health management. It represents a shift from the traditional paternalistic model of healthcare delivery to a collaboration and partnership between patients, doctors and pharmaceutical companies. Engaged patients are more likely to adhere to treatment plans, have better health outcomes, and report higher levels of satisfaction with their care experiences.
