Description The aim of this study is to present the portfolio as an important part of the state final examination in the Teaching for Kindergartens programme at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University. The core of the research investigation is the analysis of presentation portfolios and the creation of an indicative typology based on the types proposed by Tomková (2018, pp. 193–198). The analysis of the portfolios is complemented by the analysis of the answers of fifty -three respondents obtained in the form of an electronic questionnaire, which shows the importance students attribute to the portfolio in the state final exam. It was assumed that the results of the research will serve as guidelines for finding ways to improve the quality of student support when working with the portfolio.
