Description The paper at the international scientific conference dealt with the play by the Czech writer Ivan Klíma (b.1931) Zámek (The Castle), whose premiere was exactly sixty years ago on the day of this year's Bohemicum Dresdens conference: it took place on 25 October 1964 at the Theatre of the Czechoslovak Army in Prague, directed by Jaroslav Dudek. Klím's dramatic debut reveals his inspiration from Franz Kafka, whose work is recalled in the play by a number of specific allusions.
