Description | Art and aesthetics of artificial intelligence have recently become a prominent topic across various fields of scientific interest and are increasingly part of broader societal discussions. At the center of attention are generative art and the conceptual tendencies of 20th-century art, which underpin the artistic strategies in AIArt production. This is exemplified by the works of Mario Klingemann, Refik Anadol, and Lauren Lee McCarthy. The ambition of this lecture is to present the creations of these artists in the contexts of artistic research, understood as transpositions of scientific methodologies into the realm of art. Each of them represents a distinct strategy; however, it is possible to identify the recurring element of partnership between humans and AI. |
