| Description | The collection ART BRUT BRNO 2023 presents the contemporary art work of people with mental disabilities and people with psychological handicaps in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It shows different approaches in the field of art brut art and the methodology of art education for individuals with disabilities. Each chapter offers a unique perspective through topics such as workshops, specific approaches of artists from studios, collecting, reflections from current exhibitions, reports from conferences and many others. This publication is the main output from the Art brut Brno 2023 conference, but also includes expert texts from prominent theorists and reflections from lecturers interested in inclusive artistic expression. The anthology brings contemporary perspectives on the creative processes of art creation by people with disabilities and provides an insight into their unique worlds. |
