Description The subject of sex education always sparks public debate. These debates cannot simply be seen as a clash between opponents and proponents of school-based sex education or between liberal and conservative proponents. This chapter shows that to understand current events surrounding sex education, international relations in relation to negotiating political spheres of influence and phenomena such as propaganda must also be taken into account. When researching debates concerning sex education in the Czech Republic, many voices opposing sex education can be traced back to pro-Russian websites. This observation unveils a broader tapestry of interconnections encompassing sex education, propaganda, international relations, and information warfare.
