Description Digital landscape model (DLM) is a multidimensional computer generated scheme of selected landscape segment representing in a simplified form its basic structural and dynamic features. The model manipulation is controlled by user commands submitted to the integrated database through the GIS tools. It consists of four basic components. Analytic data on the nature are integrated into the (1) natural background layer (digital primary landscape structure), (2) information about human activities in the landscape forms the human impacts layer (secondary landscape structure), and (3) the area interests, wishes and restrictions form the development limits layer (tertiary landscape structure). The (4) digital elevation model serves as the skeleton of the landscape model, provides various terrain data and it is a useful presentation tool. Three data integration methods were developed (manual, semiautomatic, and automatic) to compile a DLM. Brief descriptions all of two first ones are presented on an example of the Haraska River catchment in Southern Moravia (app. 55 sq km)
