Description Imaging technologies have revolutionized the study of biology, imaging tools offer the ability to visualize the outer and inner structures of organisms, in our case helminths. Thanks to different techniques forms and functions of cells, tissues, and whole organisms, sometimes even the entire developmental process, can be studied. A variety of techniques involving light microscopy, electron microscopy and X-ray microradiology are available for the identification and morphologic analysis of helmiths. These techniques can be applied to examination of all kinds of helmiths however this often require specific conditions and kind of fixation.
