Description The analytic text first makes reference to the fixed stereotypes that we often encounter within the national consciousness to this day. It reflects, first and foremost, the stage of national awareness during the course of the 19th century, which had a fundamental influence on later development. It then proceeds from an outline of European Union visions of the graduate of European history teaching divested of the stereotypes and myths of patriotic teaching. It notes the research activities and items on the given topic in the Czech environment: to help the practical implementation of the European dimension directly into the subject model, since knowledge is integrally connected with comprehension. The task of reflecting the results in the professional preparation of future history teachers represents a second dimension.
