| Description | Nowadays there is significant progress in the development of dental lasers. At the same time, patients are better informed and more interested in this type of therapy. An advantage of laser treatment is less pain during dental intervention and wound healing. Thanks to its haemostatic effect, it is not necessary to stitch the wound, the sterilizing effects of the laser beams ensure uncomplicated healing. The aim of this paper is to provide a review of basic principles about laser radiation and the possibilities of its application in dentistry. At the end there is a discussion of individual indications from orthodontically treated patients. |
