Description The research chapter elaborates on theoretical background and methodology related to research into the development of History as a school subject. The chapter addresses the progress of the aims and content of History at lower secondary educational level since 1918. It is based on an analysis of curricular ducuments and presents the results acquired by means of a research instrument developed by the author.
