Projekt se bude majoritně zabývat analýzou vybraných parametrů srdeční činnosti na různých organizačních úrovních, od molekulární úrovně až po úroveň in vivo, jak u pacientů, tak na animálních modelech. Cílem studia bude např. analýza vlivu antikoncepce, tělesné zátěže, farmak či variant v genech kódujících srdeční iontové kanály na funkci myokardu. Součástí projektu bude rovněž studium excitability neuronů a neuronálních sítí a její změny pod vlivem neurodegenerace či farmak.
