Research on language mediation in foreign language education (LaMeFLE)

The project is aimed at supporting scientific activities of Dr. Pavla Marečková after her return from parental leave. The focus of her pedagogical, research and popularization activities before her career break was language mediation, which is very topical in the EU, but remains neglected and insufficiently supported by research in the Czech Republic. Therefore, the main aim of the project is to support the planning and implementation of research investigations aimed at the development of mediation competence in the context of teaching at the Faculty of Education of MU and at other levels of schools. The planned outputs are the publication of the achieved findings in journals indexed in the Scopus and WoS databases, as well as Dr. Marečková's active participation in the 31st Congress of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Fremdsprachenforschung in 2025 and in domestic conferences. The contribution of the project is the renewal of continuity in Dr. Marečková's long-term research activities, the results of which will significantly support the innovation of foreign language education.
