Description | The article describes the results of the piloting stage of my doctoral research project. The goal of the study is to find out how Czech school students collaborate when creating their own vlogs (video blogs) in English as part of their school EFL lessons. The aims of the piloting stage were to test the research questions and design, data collection and analysis tools, and the design of the vlogging intervention that was used in a high-school class in Brno. The piloting stage showed that considerable changes needed to be made in the research design and tools, and the research questions needed to be adjusted to reflect the newly-adopted theoretical framework. The article provides the rationale for these changes and describes them. |
