Description | Burkholderia cenocepacia is a Gram-negative bacterium causing a number of diseases in plants, for example in onions. On the other hand, this bacterium also infects immunocompromised humans, especially cystic fibrosis patients. Crucial role in the infection and colonization could be played by bacterial lectins. |
