Inclusive education is the foundation of the paradigm of special education in the 21st century. Transition from segregated education to inclusive education represents not only a challenge for teachers and schools, but for the whole society. Students of PhD program in special education try to reflect and interpret the processes leading to inclusive education on international, national, school, classroom and individual level. Which phenomena are to be researched? How can the changes on international, national, school, classroom and individual level be analyzed? What kind of methodology should be used? These are the questions to be discussed at the 2011 PhD students’ conference Perspectives of research in inclusive education.
